But as they were about 1000 to 1500 feet away and it was dark out, they couldn’t make out any facial features, except that its skin looked like a dark gray color. They both said it looked as though, when standing, it stood around 7 feet tall and had very thick-looking legs and body. So, as he got her to turn around and look, it went from a standing position on two legs to a crouching position on the top of the post and folded its wings into itself and just crouched there silently, watching them. But he told her there was no way he was going to be the only one to see it. She was already in tears and didn’t want to turn around and see it, although she heard exactly what he did. He grabbed Heather’s arm and told her to turn around and look at it. He said he could hear its huge wings flapping and watched as it landed on top of the T-post of the last electric pole on the end of our road. Ryder turned to see a humanoid figure come running very fast out of the cornfield, then take flight with huge, thin-looking wings.
